As for me I really love vector icons because:

• you can resize them as you wish, for web-page, or for prints;
• they are flexible and it’s so easy to modify them;
• by combination of icons parts you can create something new and unique;

This is an example of how easily you can create nice logo by mixing vector icons.

Here is short explanation, how I design a flayer for my frind’s party. It was “sweet & sexy night”, R&B music, pink dress code & so on. So I decide to base main graphic idea around a sexy vector lady. Almost like Hed Kandi style, but more smooth. All that work was done in Photoshop using pen tool (tool for drawing vector elements). After tracing of this girl I polish her with blur, burn & dodge tools to add realistic smooth.

Also I put few pictures which enlarge the most difficult places of this lady & you will see that I was not very accurate in details, because the finite image was not very large.
