Good news my friends. CGTextures is quickly becoming the number one choice for free textures/background downloading. Top quality textures and easy site navigation lets you find exactly the right texture for your art work.

The bad thing is that as long as you don’t have paid membership you can download only 15 mb per day. But know, to celebrate the 20.000th texture, all quotas was doubled until the end of 2007! And we can download 30 mb of HQ textures and backgrounds per day.

I’m regretting that I open these site only few days ago, but I’m very glad that I found it =)

   Hi,
   As best as I can tell, these aren’t really free - unless you found something I can’t find. All I saw was paid memberships. Did I miss something?

   =) hmmm strange, you can download 15 mb of textures per day for free, I just test it and it’s still working.
